Applications are invited from the eligible candidates to fill up 6
posts of Multi Skilled Employees in the pay band of Rs. 5200-
20200+Grade Pay 1800 under Department of Animal Husbandry, Union
Territory of Lakshadweep. The candidates should submit their applications
to the Director of Animal Husbandry on or before 5th March, 2011 with all
necessary documents. Educational qualifications, age etc. are as
below :
1. Name of the Post : Veterinary Attendant - 2.
Poultry Boy - 2 (one post is
reserved for handicapped persons).
Bull Attendant - 1
Night Watchman-cum-Poultry Boy 1
2. Description of duties : 1. Feeding and watering of birds and
animals.
2. Restraining of animals for treatment and
Vaccination.
3. Assistance in de-beaking,
Dc-Horning etc.
4. Assistance in Clinic, Farm and Hatchery
Cleaning of Farms, Hatchery and
Premises etc.
3. Education and other
qualifications : 1. Pass in Matriculation or equivalent.
2. Minimum six months experience in Dairy/
Poultry Farming/Clinic from Govt.
Institutions.
4. Age limit : 18-25 years (Relaxable for SC/ST
candidates, Government Servants,
Ex-servicemen and other categories in
accordance with the instructions/orders
issued by the Government of India.The
Crucial date for determining the age limit
shall be the last date for receipt of the
applications.
5. Against the post of Poultry Boy shown as reserved for handicapped
persons only applicants with handicapped certificate from competent
authority will be considered.
Applications should reach this Directorate on or before
5th March, 2011 the stipulated date with all necessary certificates without
fail. Late applications will not be entertained.
