EMPLOYMENT NOTICE
The Department of Legal Metrology, U. T. of Lakshadweep,
Kavaratti invites application from qualified local candidates for filling up
one temporary vacancy of Inspector of Legal Metrology/Senior Inspector
of Legal Metrology. The details of the post, Pay Band, qualification
required are shown in Annexure ‘B’. The selection criteria is by direct
recruitment giving 100% weightage for educational qualification.
Interested candidates may submit their application in the format
with attested copies of certificates with mark lists, proof of age,
educational qualification, Scheduled Tribe Certificate, etc. to the Assistant
Controller of Legal Metrology, Department of Legal Metrology, U. T.
of Lakshadweep, Kavaratti so as to reach on or before 02.05.2011 at
05.00 pm. The application received without relevant documents and
after due date and time will not be entertained.
This issues with the approval of the Administrator vide Diary
No. 997 dated 03.03.2011.

1. Name of Post : Inspector of Legal Metrology/
Senior Inspector of Legal Metrology.
2. No. of Post : 1.
3. Pay Band : Rs. 9300-34800+GP Rs. 4200.
4. Nature of Vacancy : Temporary.
5. Age : 18-30 years. Upper age limit relaxable for SC/
ST/Govt. Servants/Ex-Serviceman/Compassionate
appointments and other special category of
persons in accordance with the instructions or
orders issued by the Central Govt. from time to
time. The crucial date for determining the age
limit in each case shall be the closing date of
receipt of application from candidates.
6. Qualification : Graduation in Science with Physics as main
subject.
OR
Graduation in Mechanical Engineering.
On appointment shall pass the Basic Training
Course from Indian Institute of Legal Metrology
during the period of probation failing which the
appointment will be terminated.
7. Place of Posting : Lakshadweep or in mainland.
