CIRCULAR
Applications are invited from eligible candidates from Lakshadweep
for undergoing 6 months pre-sea course for General Purpose Rating during
2010-11 for obtaining Continuous Discharge Certificate. The Entry
Qualifications are as follows :
(a) Academic Qualifications : Pass with aggregate 40% marks in
10th Standard from a recognized Board with Science, Mathematics as subjects
and with minimum 40% marks in English language.
(b) Age limit : Age group between 17 years 6 months to 25 years as
1st Jan. 2011.
(c) Medical fitness : The candidate should be physically and mentally fit for
sea service as per MS Medical Examination Rules, 2000 dated 19-01-2000.
How to apply
The eligible candidate may apply in plain paper along with the
following informations :
(1) Name (as in School Certificate) (2) Name of father (3) Date of Birth
(4) Educational Qualification (5) Total marks scored in 10th Std. (6) Marks
scored in English Language (either 10th or 12th Std. (7) Native Island
(8) Caste (9) Whether Medical Fitness Certificate attached
(10) Communication Address (11) Contact phone number/e-mail address and
(12) Whether applied during 2009-10 (Yes)/No) . So as to reach this office
on or before 10th Nov. 2010. The application shall be enclosed with true
copies of X Std. Pass Certificate along with Marks sheets to prove his
eligibility. Proof of Date of Birth, Caste Certificate and Medical Fitness
Certificate. The candidates of Minicoy Island who are enjoying the relaxation
of educational qualification shall enclose the proof of VIII Std. pass along
with ST Certificate and Nativity.
Applicants who fulfill the required qualifications will be subjected
for selection process. If at any stage a candidate is found that he is not fulfilling
the required qualification his candidature is liable to be rejected.
The course fee will be paid by the administration. However no travel
expenses will be paid by administration for attending the selection process
at Kavaratti or at the Institute.
